Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating an account or using Afmak, you agree to these Terms and Conditions and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform. You must be at least 18 years old to use Afmak.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details and wallet PIN secure and for the activity on your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. Sellers and agents may be asked to complete identity verification (KYC) before they can publish products or operate.

3. Orders and payments

When you place an order, you agree to pay the price and any fees shown at checkout. Payments are processed securely through our payment partner Paystack and your Afmak wallet. Sellers are responsible for the products they list and for fulfilling confirmed orders.

4. Afmak wallet

The Afmak wallet lets you hold a balance, pay for orders and receive refunds or earnings. Wallet balances are not a bank deposit and do not earn interest. You are responsible for keeping your wallet PIN confidential.

5. Sellers and agents

Sellers must be verified, list only products they are lawfully allowed to sell, and describe them accurately. Agents must act honestly within the role granted to them. Afmak may suspend shops, accounts or remove listings that breach these terms or applicable law.

6. Delivery

Delivery is arranged with our partner agencies based on the address you provide. Estimated delivery times are indicative. Please make sure your delivery details and contact number are correct.

7. Returns and refunds

Refunds, where applicable, are issued to your Afmak wallet or original payment method through our payment partner. Our support team handles disputes between buyers and sellers fairly and in line with applicable consumer protection law.

8. Prohibited use

• Fraud, counterfeit goods or illegal items.
• Misusing the platform, other users or our systems.
• Any activity that breaks applicable laws or regulations.

9. Liability

Afmak provides the marketplace “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for the acts of buyers or sellers, but we work to resolve disputes fairly through our support team.

10. Closing your account

You may close your account and request deletion of your data at any time as described in our Privacy Policy. We may also suspend or close accounts that breach these terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana, and any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.
